My goal for AIDS Orphans Benefit Hike is to hike the Pacific Crest Trail to raise awareness of the AIDS epidemic in sub-Saharan Africa, and how it especially affects its children. I will furthermore be raising $10,000 for Lutheran World Relief and its partners to improve the quality of life for AIDS orphans in Africa. I will begin this hike on April 28th and finish on or near September 26th.
I will be financing this endeavor myself along with help from corporate sponsorships for my food and equipment. All monies received for AIDS Orphans Benefit Hike will be sent directly to Lutheran World Relief.

TOUR STOPS
Along the Pacific Crest Trail, I plan to stop at seven churches and one outdoor retreat center to give a presentation on AIDS Orphans Benefit Hike. All churches will receive, in advance, enough brochures for their members and community interest, a promotional poster, and other materials to get ready for my visit. Each individual church plans to promote within the congregation and in their conference. I have listed below the visit date, church, city, and size of church. For each community that I visit, I will also send press releases to major media outlets such as television, radio, and newspapers.
