Partners: ELCA and Phebe Hospital.

DESCRIPTION:

The community health outreach programs of Phebe Hospital to the large catchments area in Bong County for this hospital, is the government-designated health center as a church-related hospital and training center in central Liberia.

Community health outreach and outpatient treatment are two aspects of Phebes program, which have been initiated in the post-war period.

OBJECTIVES:

" To provide a community health team from Phebe hospital to the villages of Bong County.

" To provide vaccination teams to the villages.

" To train nursing students at Phebe Hospital School of Nursing for community health service.

" To improve the health of all peopleespecially mothers and childrenin the service area of Phebe.

" To provide community health services specifically related to the post-war period.
