SERVING THE MEAL
In a first grade classroom, the children take turns serving the meal. Sr. OMeara estimates that this school loses one parent to AIDS almost every week. Lutheran World Relief supports the Sisters of Mercy to run four such schoolsfor 4,000 childrenplus a home for 120 abandoned children and AIDS orphans, as well as an informal school for street kids. A project like this stands to benefit from the inter-Lutheran Stand With Africa campaign.
